Narayana S. Ambati, M.D., Director
Dr. Ambati is a physician practicing urology surgery, and is Chief and Clinical Professor of Urology, University of California, San Francisco, in Fresno. Ambati is a member of Urology Associates of Central California. He received a medical degree in India and had further training in Urology in London, England and Dublin, Ireland. He was tenured professor of Urology at University of Iowa, Iowa City, until 1985 and became a United States citizen in 1993.
Ambati relocated to Fresno in 1985, to teach and practice urology in Fresno, and at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Program. Ambati is an original Advisor and Founder of United Security Bank in Fresno. He serves on committees of various area hospitals and is a member of the board of directors of the Fresno-Madera Medical Society. Ambati is President of the medical staff at St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno.
Robert E. Hemsath, Chief Executive Officer
Robert E. Hemsath brings over 20 years experience in the community banking industry to Security First Bank. As Chief Executive Officer of Security First Bank, Mr. Hemsath is responsible for directing and coordinating the strategic direction and operations of this growing community bank.
Hemsath began his banking career in 1986 in Gardnerville, Nevada with Nevada National Bank where he was in charge of small business and consumer lending and was actively in the community. In 1989, after the acquisition of Nevada National Bank by Security Pacific Bank, Mr. Hemsath joined the corporate banking division where he was responsible for a $20 million loan portfolio of middle market companies. Mr. Hemsath specialized in managing higher risk credits and credits over $1 million in size.
After obtaining his masters degree in business in 1992, Mr. Hemsath joined Comstock Bank, a small community bank, where he created and developed a highly successful and profitable commercial lending division within the bank. Upon acquisition of Comstock Bank by First Security Bank, Mr. Hemsath started a division of First National Bank of Nevada under an out of state holding company where he served as President. Once this division was stabilized, Mr. Hemsath began the formation of Northern Nevada Bank. Northern Nevada Bank was a highly successful community bank and was acquired by The Bank Holdings in 2006, after only six years of operations. Mr. Hemsath built a strong management team, created a strong and stable profit stream, and grew Northern Nevada Bank to over $150 Million in assets prior to its sale.
During this time, Mr. Hemsath remained highly active in the community and served on numerous non-profit and community organization board of directors and committees. Mr. Hemsath is a 1987 and 1992 graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno having earned his Bachelors of Science degree specializing in accounting and a Masters of Business Administration degree, respectively. He also completed graduate work at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in 1997. Throughout his career, Mr. Hemsath has been dedicated to continuing his education, to serving the community, and to community banking.
Jerry E. Henry, Esq., Director and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Henry is a partner in the Law Offices of Henry, Logoluso & Blum , with offices in Fresno and Kerman, where he has practiced since 1975, dealing mostly in business law and estate planning. He is also the city attorney for the city of Kerman, California.
After graduating from San Joaquin College of Law in 1974, he served briefly as a Fresno County Deputy District attorney. He owns and operates a vineyard as well as apartments in addition to his law practice. He was a founding director at Kerman State Bank, Kerman, California and served as chairman of the Board from 1998 until the bank was sold in 2002. He has been a member of the Kerman Kiwanis for 22 years. He is active in the Fresno and Kerman Chambers of Commerce. He attended junior college at La Junta, Colorado and graduated from San Jose State University in 1965 with a degree in journalism. He is married and has three children.
Alan R. Hopkins, Director
Mr. Hopkins is a native of Fresno. He attended Fresno City College for two years. In 1967, he started Allwire Incorporated. This company manufactures electrical wire, polyethylene pipe, electronic assemblies, industrial control panels, and electro-mechanical devices. The management offices are located in Fresno, California, with 2 plants in Chowchilla, California. The electronics assembly plants are located in two different prisons in Madera, CA. The manufacturing plants provide products for gas distribution, electric utilities, CATV, ground water, telecommunications, industrial building/construction, instrumentation, and electronic industry. Mr. Hopkins is also a Vice President of Aero-Tite Plastics, Inc.
Steve C. Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Jones was born in Fresno and graduated from Bullard High in 1979. He attended Malaspina University in British Columbia and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Portland, Oregon. In 1991 he earned his Certified Public Accountant license. He is a professional banker with over 20 years experience in nearly all areas of general banking operation. His work experience includes lending and operations experience in a multi-national bank holding company; de novo branch operations and lending; mergers and acquisitions; and as the Chief Financial Officer in an independent bank.
From March 2002 until joining the Security First Bank, Jones was Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of The Grange Bank in Columbus, Ohio. He served as Vice President/Senior Finance Manager of Bank One, Columbus, Ohio from April 1996 to March 2002; from July 1993 to April 1996 he served as Assistant Vice President/Finance Manager of First Interstate Bank, Phoenix, Arizona; and from May 1990 to July 1993 he served as Officer/Senior Auditor of PacifiCorp, Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Jones has attended leadership, banking and investment schools at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and the University of South Carolina, Moore School of Business. He was the assistant treasurer and executive committee member of the Boy Scouts of America's Simon Kenton Council and is active in mission work with the Southern Baptist Church.
Gene H. Kezirian, C.P.A., Director
Mr. Kezirian is a native of Fresno. He has been involved in the family business of farming and general mercantile since childhood. He attended the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Southern California where he received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees, respectively. He obtained his C.P.A. license in 1992 and has practiced accounting since that time and, most recently, in ag related industries. He is also a director of Rolinda Farmers Store, Inc.
For five years he served as vice-chairman of the board of directors of Kerman State Bank, Kerman, California, prior to the bank being sold in 2002. Mr. Kezirian is chairman of the Audit Committee and is recognized as an expert in financial statement analysis.
Mr. Kezirian has been actively involved in a number of religious endeavors for many years. He has devoted many years to the community as a youth soccer coach, as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America, and to those less fortunate. He has participated in missionary outreaches and provided professional expertise to an evangelical union of North American Churches as past treasurer and a member of the board of directors.
Victor Robert Lee, Director
Victor Robert Lee attended College of The Sequoias in Visalia. In 1971 Mr. Lee, his wife and family moved to Fresno where in 1974 he took over management of the Fresno office of the electrical company he had worked for since 1961. Mr. Lee managed the Fresno office for seventeen years. During this time, Mr. Lee was chairman of the companies Profit Sharing Committee.
Since 1993 Mr. Lee has owned his own electrical company, LeeLectric, in the Fresno Area where he provides commercial and industrial services to a small select group of customers. Mr. Lee has served on the board of directors of Allwire Inc. since 1985.
Everett E. Norcross, Chairman
Mr. Norcross is President & Chief Executive Officer of Robb Ross Foods, Inc., Fresno, and the Vice President of Fruit Fillings Inc. of Fresno. These companies employ 90 people and manufacture and distribute food products throughout the United States, South America, China, Japan, and other Pacific Rim countries. He is involved in the community and served on the Citizens Advisory Committee, the Fresno Chapter of The Salvation Army, Bullard High School Boosters, and YMCA Board of Directors and is the immediate past president of the Rotary International Club of Downtown Fresno. He graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1971, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Jeetander P Sethi, Director
Mr. Sethi was born in India, moved to the United States in 1976 and became a United States citizen in 1983. He attended schools in India, Hinds Junior College, Raymond, Mississippi for one year, and Mississippi College, Clinton, Mississippi for one year. Sethi and has lived in Fresno since 1983. He owns and manages over 10 convenience stores and gas stations, several hotels, other commercial properties, and investments, with more than115 employees.
His professional memberships and community involvement include: President of California Beverage Merchants; past member City of Fresno Land Advisory Board; past member of Project Area Committee; board member of the Interfaith Alliance of Central California; Director of Crime Stoppers of Fresno; Vice President Hindu Temple of Fresno and past member of the Project Area Committee. Sethi also served on the Fresno Police Department Chief Advisory Board from 2001 thru 2005.
Eric J. Wilkins, Vice Chairman
Mr. Wilkins was born in Fresno. He received an Associates of Arts degree from Santa Barbara City College and his Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Santa Barbara. Wilkins, along with his family, owns and operates Wilkins Construction Company, a general engineering contractor. This company specializes in the development and construction of multi story office and professional buildings and the construction of single family home subdivisions. The company also owns and operates real estate development and investment properties in other states. Wilkins holds a license as a real estate broker from the State of California. He also has an "A" class general engineering contractors license issued by the State of California.
He sat as chair of the Oakhurst Citizens Advisory Committee and has been a member of the public relations committee for Madera County Maintenance District 22, and is a member of the Eastern Madera County Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, and the California Association of Realtors.
Kevin Williams, Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
Mr. Williams has spent the last decade working in local community banks, and has extensive background in credit, lending, and sales management. He holds a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara, an M.B.A. from Fresno State, and also graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania.
At Security First Bank, Mr. Williams leads the lending department, where he is responsible for all aspects of lending functions, policies, procedures, and coordination. Mr. Williams also is responsible for oversight of the Bank's loan portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance as well as the portfolio's safety and soundness.
Prior to his employment at Security First Bank, Mr. Williams worked in various roles in the loan department as a Vice President at Premier Valley Bank, where he generated and maintained a large commmercial loan portfolio and was responsible for business development, sales strategy, loan review, and customer profitability.
Mr. Williams is also very involved in the local community, as evidenced by his service on the Foundation Board at Children's Hospital Central California, the Board of the West Fresno Community Development Corporation, and the Board of the Madden Library at CSU Fresno. Mr. Williams is also a member of the St. Agnes Men's Club and the advisory council of Valley Public Radio.
